Text alerts and push notifications

We've had Simplisafe for over two years and have always received text messages and push notifications on my phone when an alarm was set or disarmed as well as alarm triggers.  I really liked this feature in the fact that my husband is partially disabled and if I was away from home I would know he made it home safely if he was out by the alarm being disabled.  I received none yesterday or today, so when I called about it I was told with my plan (19.99) I was more supposed to be getting them.  We originally had the premium plan as we bought a package with an indoor camera and we also purchased an outdoor camera.  We found out when setting up everything that our internet was too slow to upload the camera images.  We don't have fiber optics since we are way out in the country.  We returned the outdoor camera for a refund, but we also sent back the indoor camera ( no refund since it came in our package-we should have kept it).  We don't have an option to get the premium plan.  Surely it doesn't cost anymore to send a text or push notification to all plans.  I am very disappointed in Simplisafe for removing this feature.

Hi @impalalady4701,

Last week we released an update to ensure that our customers only receive features and notifications that are a part of their monitoring plan.

Notifications when the SimpliSafe system is armed or disarmed are only part of the Fast Protect™ or Self Monitoring with Camera Recordings plans. It seems that when you downgraded your monitoring plan from Fast Protect™ to Standard Monitoring, some features of Fast Protect™ remained active when they should not have. If you visit this article in our Help Center, we list the features available for each monitoring plan.

We apologize for any confusion this update has caused. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team.
