Signal Jamming - Update on Video Monitoring

From the old discussion located here: https://simplisafe.com/blog/jam-detection-update and from public comments in regards to the known attack vector…

It was stated that:

”In the near future, we will offer video verification for potential interference events, where experts at our monitoring center can review footage and determine if police dispatch is warranted.”

Getting a notification that jamming or interference was detected is great. But of course, the user may not always be able to respond to these right away and manually check the cameras. Assuming the user has toggled on video verification, does Simplisafe offer video verification on interference events? If I overwhelm the frequency with a “jammer” does someone at the monitoring center check the cameras to ensure no bad actors are present? Or, is is still on us to see the notification and check ourselves?

It’s been about five years since this attack vector was published. Video verification for paid subscribers sounds like a perfect solution. As a business, we would even pay extra for this additional verification as it’s more likely to cause false positives.

That is a good question and I know if you get wireless interference all cameras do come on but is it for just us to view or is simplisafe viewing it as well? I believe it's just for us but I do know there is a device that is supposed to be in beta testing which I hope I get to do where it goes on the outdoor cameras and when alarm is armed it will have AI and recognize familiar faces or an not and they can intervene from the camera. Kinda like deep sentinel does with there cameras. But this is a good question you asked.
