Not as expected

Having purchased the Essentials package, (without on line professional monitoring), I was impressed with the standard of the hardware and ease of setting up but disappointed to find that I cannot switch my alarm on/off remotely or know if the alarm has been activated via the app.  Is this something that may be added in the future?

I was very surprised to find that the Set Up System option on the app does not offer anything if you don’t buy a monitoring plan.  This is not made clear on the web site before you purchase.

Yes, this is a major issue. All other systems I have seen (such as Ring, Yale, Eufy, Abode etc) offer the ability to arm/disarm and receive alerts are available in their app without paying a subscription - which is now £24.99 per month in the UK.

I have noticed in the US that Simplisafe has changed policy and now offer these features in the app with no subscription necessary.

I am still in my 60 day returns period and plan to return based unless this changes quickly in the UK.

Same here, I feel this is deliberately not made clear, I'm just considering whether to return the product!
