My system starts up the cameras about a few times a day, for no reason. How do I stop it?

This has been going on for years. At least once a day the system repeats what state it's in. If it's "off", then it turn on the cameras and records for a bit.

I don't like this. Just now I was sitting in my living room with the alarm off, and the cameras just randomly turned on. You can clearly hear the click. And no, I don't mean the light/dark click, that's also a bit annoying.

So at 20:40 tonight the timeline says "System Disarmed", with recordings everywhere. Stop recording me when the system is off!

@thomas_12282724218327284 Odd behavior and this has been going on for years? Suggest you call SS support and troubleshoot. Mine, and other people that I know that have SS3, don't have this issue. Neither should you

Please post your outcome here if you get a chance. Thanks!

@captain11 Thanks. I've talked to support, and they first suggested power cycling the base station (unplug, unscrew the screw, open, take out a battery for 3min). That did not seem to change anything.

Then they said "The App bug that you're currently experiencing will be resolved by a firmware update that we are working on releasing".

I should add that these "Off to off" transitions, and "Away to away" (and "Home to Home"), all triggering cameras recording for a bit, are all blamed in the timeline on the app. If it matters, I use Android. And support confirmed that there is only one phone registered.

(only one phone registered because at least when I installed the system, it periodically logged you out ("for security"), and logging back in required an SMS. An SMS obviously only one phone can receive. And no, support said only one phone number can be added for SMS logins)
