I want to self monitor my home

I want to see battery life of my motion sensors and door sensors on the app. I want notifications from the app when my door sensors or motion detector goes off. The system is useless unless you pay monthly! I have to use other door sensors to get notifications it opens. I'm not happy with the system at all.

Here is a crazy thought.  If you want to self monitor your home, get a system designed for that.  This system is designed for professional monitoring, so it is kind of silly for you to complain about how limited it is if you don't get the professional monitoring.  By the way, the definition of "professional" is "gets paid for it".

I would like to be able to stop the camera from recording every time there is a secret alert. It's pointless to record what's happening in the kitchen every time I open my barn door outside. And it freaks out my wife when she doesn't realize I'm home.
