I can't remember the safe word.

I can't remember the safe word. I moved from the address two years ago. The system was taken down and removed from the address. What do I do now?

Hi @sfrisc5552.

If I have this right, you've taken down the equipment itself, but your Monitoring Plan is still active?

The Safe Word passcode is the primary proof that a user is authorized to access your account, so it's the one thing that our Support team will ask for, before we can make changes or even give you information on your account over the phone.

The easiest way to find your Safe Word is to log into your online account here (using the same password as logging into this Community).

Once you are logged in, navigate to: Menu (on the left) > Monitoring > Safe Word (on the top right). Click View to see your Safe Word.

But yes, as the Captain says, if you are not able to log in, we do have processes for recovering access. Please give our Support team a call at 800-548-9508 and they can take care of you.

@sfrisc5552 Believe it or not, this happens more than you think.  Call SS and be prepared to be grilled, spotlight intensity to high, rubber hose in their hands, guy smoking a lit cig......of course I am kidding, just setting it up as an old Bogie movie....SS does have protocols in place to confirm and validate your identity so you can reset your pw.

Go ahead, give them a call and post your experience here after you are done. Good luck.

Go to the website and review the menu on the left hand side of the screen.  Look for MONITORING.  Choose this and look for your safeword on the page.
