fire marshal notification of termination of monitoring agreement / send a technician
It sounds like our fire department not only requires 3rd party monitoring but also:
1. fire marshal notification of termination of monitoring agreement
2. ability to send a technician when there is a problem with the device
Are these requirements common or totally unheard of? Seems like the local security providers influenced the code!
Does Simplisafe provide each of these capabilities or have suggestions on how to meet these requirements with simple work arounds (setup the fire marshall as a contact notified when cancelled, etc.?)

@Planetscott sounds like regulations out of control. Our village, about 6 years ago, completely eliminated permits for fire and security systems. They continue to require monitoring companies to register with the village but not their customers. An outside consultant was brought in and found 1. The village lost money on every single permit created and filed and 2. Added absolutely nothing of value to the process. The requirements in your post just seems like a money grab and to prevent competition. I would ask some serious questions to your local fire marshall and town officials why this is needed.
As far as what SS will do, suggest you call them and ask for a response in writing. If you get a chance, post the response here.
