Are there new "benefits to the interactive monitoring plan?

I got a e-mail that said so and it ran afoul of the junkman filter, so i'm wondering if it is legit.

Hi krstick,

Yes, for customers under the Interactive Monitoring Plan, we've extended your equipment protection plan to the lifetime of your monitoring account. That means, for as long as you have Interactive Monitoring subscribed, even if it's been (for example) 5 years since you purchased your system, we'll still be able to replace all of your equipment at no cost to you.

On top of that, you'll also get a 10% discount on all equipment purchases, which you can access through the SimpliSafe app or your online account.

I'm wondering if the system I just purchased in Dec 21' falls under this new benefit? Based on this statement it sounds like it wouldn't? "Loyal customers who purchased SimpliSafe systems before January 17, 2022 will continue with their original limited hardware warranty."

If you're subscribed to the Interactive Monitoring Plan (regardless of when you started the subscription), the protection plan for the lifetime of your service, and the 10% discount, apply to you.

Davey, you might want to have someone update the help center page for this, because it continues to state the following, despite your comments earlier about when the warranty (for any plan or not) begins.  Isn't the start date for the warranty, the date one RECEIVES the product? (not the order/invoice/ship date).

"....all products sold have a 1-year limited hardware warranty, which starts from the original order/purchase date...."  (from:  What is the warranty on my SimpliSafe Equipment? – SimpliSafe )

Also, if one is already logged into the account page (web), and clicks the shop page, another login/verification is required - where is the discount located once logged into the shop page?

Beyond that, awesome new perk, thanks, but for me at least, can't get overly excited until you fix the login mess (from my other post today).  

And emoticons.  Not facebook crap, just simple stuff, small-file size stuff.  There's really only about 10 emotions needed here, I'm currently experiencing 4 at the moment.  Please don't ban me.
