WiFi PWD Length and Encryption

What is the WPA Protocols the Base Station Supports for WiFi?
Why is the password length 31? My password is 61 characters, and to downgrade the 2.4 Ghz to 31, is a lot of effort and reprogramming. I am currently using my guest.

Please file a Bug or Enhancement Request to support whatever standard it support (Max Lengthy).

Hi there,

Yes, our Base Station is unfortunately able to support a maximum of 31 characters for WiFi passwords.

Using a Guest network, or an alternate network, might be the best workaround here. At least you'll have a dedicated connection for SimpliSafe components, which can help with troubleshooting.

@davey_d​ I just ran into the same issue. 31 is not as secure as 64. Why should I trust  my home security to a system that requires me to undercut my Wifi security??

FIX IT. It is stupid that simplisafe cannot figure this out.

I have over $600 worth of simplisafe equipment ready to be sent back for refund. 2 weeks to correct this very simple issue or it's all going back for refund.
