WIFI Disconnected and No Longer Finds Network

My WIFI disconnected from my router about a week ago. I updated the firmware and rebooted the base station. However, the base station now only can find my network extender and not the router. I have the entire system running off my network extender now. It runs much slower. How can I get the system to detect my WIFI router again?

Hi @Davidcuozzo,

While your Base Station should automatically reconnect to your Wi-Fi, something that has worked for users in the past is to reconnect to their Wi-Fi by entering their login credentials into their Keypad.

If that doesn't work, we have also listed additional troubleshooting steps you can take to reconnect your system to your Wi-Fi here in our Help Center.

That only works if the Keypad can connect the Base Station. My Keypad regularly shows "Keypad Out Of Range" (which it is not in my case) and may due to the Base Station being unable to connect to my networks after a power outage.

Adding to my previous post. I had to reconnect my Keypad to Base Station (again) this morning which was successful, and downloaded updates. Only to hear the "Welcome to SimpliSafe" voice multiple times since then. Now I'm getting the "Keypad Out Of Range" message (again) which makes zero sense since the Keypad is in the same room within 10 feet of Base Station. I had no power outages or dropped internet connectivity in the house. Batteries are charged. So, now I have to remove and reinsert the Keypad batteries and reestablish connection to WiFi and Base Station which is a total pain. Reconnected, and now waiting for a 25 minutes for download of an update. The same update that I was informed had been successfully completed this morning.

This scenario occurs frequently and I'm just about ready to abandon ship and go to a different security system. One more instance of this occuring and I'm done.
