Wi-Fi connection to base station lost

Occasionally I find a message indicating my system lost Wi-Fi connectivity during the night. It typically lasts only for a minute or two and I find no evidence of the router going down during that period. It is a bit disturbing, as the protective function of the system is lost during these times. Any suggestions?
