Two issues since 2.3 update

Hi all. I have experienced a few issues since the update. I have had the system for almost a year but never had any of this before the recent update. I was wondering if anyone else had it also.

Occasionally, when I try to wake one of my keypads by touching it or getting near it, the normal buttons that light up get lit but the display goes black. The only thing that seems to get it back to normal is me hitting "off" and entering my code. When I do this, it is normal again. Like I said, this started happening after the most recent update. This has happened about 3 times so far.

The other issue is that yet a different keypad just started saying it was out of range. Keep in mind this keypad is about 20 feet from the base and does not move. I have fresh batteries within a few months in my keypads. Even though I brought the keypad directly next the base station, it still claimed out of range and wouldn't sync with the system. I had to remove the batteries from the base station and restart it to re-add the keypad. This has only happened once so far and never once up until now.

I feel like the recent update has caused these issues but I can't be certain obviously. Anyone else have similar problems since the update?

Hi Carlton76,

We definitely want to hear more from everyone else in case these are unknown bugs. I'm already going to report them to our dev team.

To clarify about #2 - did you mean you just let the Keypad connect on its own, or did you have to go through the other Keypad to go through Setup & Naming mode to re-add?

To clarify: I removed the batteries from base station and affected keypad. I then reinstalled the batteries in the base station and then the keypad. At that point the keypad found the base station on its own. I did not do any other setup or naming.

Ah. It sounds like that second Keypad had just failed a check-in. It's possible that it might have been able to reconnect on its own eventually, Rebooting it, as well as the Base Station, would have forced them both to look for reach other.

It wouldn't hurt to try rebooting the first Keypad as well, just in case.

@Johnny M  Good morning!  Just applied the update yesterday at my daughter's house and then installed a new doorbell pro.  Both went off without a hitch, no issues.  Also posted elsewhere couldn't believe how the install process on the doorbell pro has improved since release.  Even my wife asked why our install didn't go as quick!  Nicely done SS.
