Required internet speeds

I am considering installing a second system in my Florida home, especially for use when we are not in residence for the summer.  Unfortunately, the cellular service coverage is not adequate.  I am able to get a seasonal service for internet while I am gone that provides 3Mbps down 2 Mbps up.  From your documentation, it looks that would be sufficient for one camera, a few entry devices, motion sensors, etc.  Please advise

The upload speed does limit you to the number of cameras which can provide adequate function.  I don't see how the number of sensors has anything to do with internet.  It does NOT use wifi or internet to communicate between the base and the sensors.  It has it's own, encrypted, signalling.

Hi @lfelker,

Yes, 2 Mbps of upload speed should be sufficient to operate one SimpliSafe camera. As sevensiamesecats mentioned, the devices paired up to your Base Station do not operate on WiFi and will not be limited by your bandwidth as a result. While the Base Station can use your WiFi to send signals to SimpliSafe for any events that occur, the amount of data used in those circumstances is so small that it is negligible for these purposes.
