No Low Battery Warning for Keypads

I have two keypads in my home.  One for the front door and another for the back.  Yesterday, I received a message on my front door keypad about my backdoor keypad.  It said that the "Autowake is disabled.  Replace batteries to re-enable."  I replaced the batteries in my backdoor keypad and everything works fine.

Last September, my front door keypad stopped working, but worked fine when the batteries were replaced.

My concern is that I did not receive any "low battery" warning for either one like I do my other sensors.  Is this normal?

Thanks.

Hi @mdolfan ,

Yes, right now the only notification for low battery for the Keypad is on the Keypad screen itself. So if you regularly use your Keypad, you should see it when it pops up.

Though if you primarily arm and disarm from the app, it's possible to miss that indicator.

We do have a pending request for an app notification here, if you want to chime in.

Having only a display on the keypad is not adequate. There should be an audible warning as well. Last Sunday, I went to church and armed the system in "away" status before leaving. When i came back, the keypad would not work. I had to run upstairs to get my phone -- which I hadn't taken to church -- in order to deactivate the system. Having only a visual warning on the keypad screen is not adequate at all. I never look at the keypad screen.
