If you do, and the functions are working, then it is all but certainly OK.
You should put the system in test mode and confirm the test notification is received. But, as I found out, that doesn't guarantee the new module is 100% working correctly.
My system sent the test signal just fine but the interactive functions didn't work until SimpliSafe properly registered the SIM. It took a couple calls before they saw the light on that and got it done.
