@whoaru99 I had a good laugh when I read your post, but it is a good question. You will not, of course, see me saying that with ADT being my former security company over 9 years ago. Heck, what am I going to say "Gee, why doesn't Simplisafe charge me twice as much and have a non cancellable contract like ADT? :-)
For all their faults, Simplisafe offers the best security solution out there.
@whoaru99: In my case its not dissatisfaction at all. Im actually happy with my system. But yeah I have 7 different entry sensors, I'd like to know which one it is that is opened and not just a chime. I mean the base station has a "voice" capability so I don't think it should be too difficult to add an update to allow it to say " front door" side door" etc. And yeah @Captain11: you're lucky..Vivint was at almost triple the price for what I have now. Simplisafe is a great value in my opinion.

Could be a base unit memory problem - not enough to cover all possibilities of sensors and their options along with base program changes needed. If they did it now there would likely be many complaints here about needing to do a physical base station upgrade ( new base station ) to add additional memory.
I generally have one door sensor off and in Home Mode but it's in a room where there is usually someone, and I can tell when someone opens the door by the chime. I don't find the chime offensive (kind of like it :-) )
