Does new system announce which door or window is triggered?

I currently have the first generation of the SimpliSafe system and was thinking about upgrading to the new system. One of my biggest complaints about the first gen system is that when our alarm is triggered it's a generic siren. I used to have ADT and when an alarm was triggered it would verbally tell you which door or window is triggered. When I get awoken in the middle of the night with a alarm it would be very helpful to have something audible telling me at minimum if it's front door back door downstairs or upstairs. Does anyone have any info or insight on this?

At the time of this post, the SimpliSafe Base Station is able to produce a Door Chime every time an Entry Sensor is opened. However, it is not able to produce a voice prompt with the sensor's name. For updates on this popular request, visit this thread there.

However, if you have the interactive monitoring plan and opt for alerts, you can get a text message or push notification on your phone which will alert you to which sensor triggered an alarm.  A second keypad in your bedroom is also helpful, as it will show on the keypad display which sensor triggered an alarm.  Likewise, your online dashboard Timeline of Events will show the same thing, but that option isn't generally what people need when they're sleeping and not logging into their dashboard, lol.

Unfortunately, it has been requested for years and years to have the base station announce more events, but SS doesn't want to add those features for some reason.

Regarding getting a second keypad for the bedroom.
When I ordered my system, the panic button I wanted for the master bedroom was somehow overlooked.  We got in the habit of bringing the keypad into the bedroom at night since there is a panic button built in.  I accidentally saved a few bucks.
It's just the wife and me so there are no issues with kids coming home late, etc.

It would be nice if it did and maybe one day they will as its been something people have been asking for awhile, but then again this is ss.

I must be very special because mine does. Just a couple of days ago it announced that 'glass break in bedroom low battery'. I got it to take care of & was aggravated because according to my spreadsheet I had put a new battery in just 2 weeks ago. But then I noticed that someone not too smart (me) had put the battery in backward. What I don't understand is how it worked the two weeks it had been in.

About a month ago it also announced that the entry sensor on the back door wasn't working.

Today it announced 'hallway extra siren battery low'. I don't have interactive monitoring. Only thing, it will scare the bejeezus out of me since I'm not expecting it.

Low batteries will be announced from the base station (For SS3, at least - for example, a keypad's low battery would be announced from the base station), but this is not the same as a sensor announcing an open door/window, because it isn't an available feature on either SS2 or SS3.

So the ability is there, but not implemented for anything other than battery issues? Ugh.

I would like to request this feature ASAP.  Thanks

The question is, then, who does make a system that does this?
It's literally the only feature that's going to determine my purchase.

We are an elderly couple living in a rural relatively secluded area that makes the possibility of home invasion more that just a thought, having the base announce the name of the sensor triggered would be more than just a nice feature. It would provide an alert that would allow for the ability to know how to respond to the notification for a given location.
