Good info! Yep, the key advantage of lithium batteries is that they're good for low-drain, long-term applications. We figured most folks would be fine with replacing them completely if you only need to do it every 3 years or more.

Ironically, polling battery levels takes up extra battery power. So the system doesn't do that constantly. But you will get a "Low Battery" warning when the levels are getting close to low.
However, if sensor batteries are not lasting the expected 3-5 years, we might need to troubleshoot - something might be affecting battery performance.
Or if you're getting a "Sensor Error", that means the sensor is failing to check in, which could be caused by other things, like severe physical or wireless interference.
