Base Station Help

I have a SS2 system that is almost 5 years old.  Over the past 6 months or so, the Base Station will stop communicating ... either an unable to connect to dispatch error, or the phone app can't connect to it (either to get a status or activate/deactivate the alarm).  The remedy seems to be unplug, remove the batteries, wait 60 seconds, and then reconnect everything.  Is there anything I can do?

If you have a Verizon card in the base station, call SS and they'll send you a new 4g card. Verizon is dropping the 2g.  Maybe that will help.  It sounds like its dropping the connection. Maybe cell tower has changed?  More trees around your house?

^ Also make sure that if you get a new verizon card, that SS has it activated - they've been sending them out and not prior-activating them, so if you get one and install it and the base still cannot connect, call SS and ask for a supervisor to make sure the SIM is activated (some of the reps don't know this).
