Arming system in Home or Away - 5 second pause

This just started within the last few days, or at least I've only noticed it.  When I am going to bed, I arm my system in Home mode.  When I press the button, it takes around five seconds for the system to become active.  If I then disarm the system and rearm it, it arms instantly.  Obviously it's not a big deal, but it is a bit annoying.  The only change that I've made in the last couple of weeks is the addition of three smart locks.

Has anyone else had this problem or are there any suggestions on how to fix it?

The Smart Locks would likely be the reason. The system needs to pause to give the locks time to complete their action, if any. Five seconds seem a little long, though. We'll pass on your feedback to our engineering team.

^There is no action to complete.  I manually lock them all before arming the system.

Also, the order seems to be the alarm arming itself first, and then the smart locks engaging.  So what you say make no sense.

If I arm the alarm, disarm it, and then arm it again, the second time is instant.  If I press Off (even though the system is off) and then press home, it is also instant.

I am doing a few more tests, but I think that I've narrowed it down to a motion sensor that I installed after the locks.  The only recent changes to my system are the motion sensor and the locks.  I removed the motion sensor and everything is now working as it should.  I'm going to give it a couple of days more and then I'll add the motion sensor back in and see if the slowness reappears.

I have no idea why a motion sensor would cause this issue.

When I set my system to Home mode from the keypad, there is a pause of a few seconds before it actually changes to Home mode. There didn't used to be the delay, and I do not have a smart lock. I don't know what the cause of this, but I am experiencing it to.
