Alarm triggered by batteries running out?

Can the alarm be triggered by the batteries running out? Veritas called me to say my alarm had been triggered, upon checking my timeline on the app it said triggered by living room motion sensor. I rushed home to check, couldn't see anything wrong. But my keypad batteries had died. Can this trigger the alarm?
