alarm goes off quickly after trying to set the system to away

Sometimes when I go to the keypad and push away when I leave, the keypad freezes for like 5 seconds then does like a 5-10 second countdown and the alarm goes off even though all doors and sensors are closed. Does anyone experience this???

In general the keypad is so slow and needs more processing power. So sluggish!!!
