A keypad modification I'd like to see

I've been using this system for six months now and for the most part, I like it.  I find it reliable, though not quite as reliable as ADT.  Every once in a while, I'll get warning messages about sensors not responding and it will take hours for them to start responding.  If that happens in the middle of the night, I'm not going to know about it.  And when this happens, most times there is no message on the keypad or app indicating that it happened.  So that makes me wonder how often it happens and I'm just not aware of it.  I hope that it is reliable because I've spent a pretty big sum of money on sensors since getting my original system.  I wish that I'd really thought it out when getting the system for 50% off because I'd have saved myself a bunch.

However, I digress.  The one keypad modification that I'd like to see is all of the keys lighting up when my hand gets near the keypad or the keypad gets touched.  I get up super early and most times I'm stumbling around in the dark when I am turning the alarm off.  The only buttons that light up are the ones on the top and the menu button.  By now I am usually able to find the first button in my PIN, but every once in a while I end up pressing the wrong button.  I know that I can press the Off button first, but they give the option to just enter the PIN to shut the alarm off, so they should make the number buttons visible without having to press a button first.

The SS3 keypad is supposed to have that feature.  Make sure the "power save" mode is not set to on.  On the other hand, when "power save" is not on, some people are getting really poor (mere weeks) battery life because it comes on a lot unexpectedly.  I think one person figured out the flickering from the TV was setting if off.

Power save mode is not set to On.  The Off, Home, Away, and Menu buttons light up and that's it.  As soon as I press any button, the numbers light up.
