Securing outdoor space

@davey_d​ Thanks.  Since it would be outside I'd need a way for the alarm to go off before video verification could happen.  Is it a bad idea to put a motion sensor outside if I could protect from elements and put it somewhere that no person or animal would ever set it off?

@Chuck37​ unfortunately yes, our sensors (Motion, Glassbreak, Entry, etc.) are not built for outdoor use at all, and wouldn't be able to handle rain or even condensation very well. But on top of that, the Motion Sensor works by sensing heat that is passing through its field of view. Since that 'heat sense' is calibrated for indoors, it might not work predictably, if at all, outside.
