Outdoor Camera Wake Time

SimpliSafe, 

When are you going to build out new functionality or support to allow our outdoor cameras to have zero to little wake latency? My cameras are all configured with solar panels and battery drain is never an issue. I should be allowed to adjust this if desired. 

For a security software company, having a multi-second latency on my camera feed for an incident that can happen extremely quickly is awful. Please listen to your customers for once. This has been a request spanning years.

Hi @eazyeazy, 

Improvement to the Outdoor Camera's wake time is currently in development. When we hear more from ours devs about its rollout, we'll be sure to update this thread and the Community.

@miketjthomas​ The updates are happening in a series, consisting of firmware, backend and phone app. Since the camera release and SS committed to imrpoving the cycle time from wake up to live stream, which they have done significantly. There is more to go. The holy grail that SS is working on is that if the battery is connected to AC or the solar panel, the wake up stage is completely skipped. When this process will be completed I will have to defer to Simplisafe.
