Outdoor Camera has red tint in video
The video in my Outdoor Camera has a red tint that I can't get rid of. I've tried pulling the battery out for a few minutes a couple times. I even removed the camera and set it up again.
It has happened before and removing the battery for a couple minutes usually fixed it. The signal strength is fine.
Is there something else I can do or does it need replaced?

Hi @steph75ia,
I know you mentioned removing the Outdoor Camera's battery and removing it from your system, but have you tried completely resetting the camera? We list out the steps for resetting the Outdoor Camera in this article in our Help Center.
But if a reset does not help, please let me know and I can forward this to our engineering team.

I too have had problems with red tint. I have had a SimpliSafe system for several years and have been very pleased with it. I have three SimpliCam's; one indoor camera and two outdoor cameras with weather protectors (located in fairly dry locations). About a month or so ago, one of the outdoor SimpliCam's had an audio problem. I worked with your tech rep, but we could not resolve the problem and he (SimpliSafe) sent me a new camera. This new SimpliCam immediately showed a red tint. I called SimpliSafe technical help, and we spent hours troubleshooting. Finally, the rep sent a new camera. The camera was installed and worked properly for a few weeks; however, about two days ago while I was watching live, the red tint reappeared. I called technical help about the red tint, and mentioned that previously, I had spent hours troubleshooting (with the rep) the red tint with no success. And I discovered on your website that others were experiencing red tint and that it had been submitted to the engineering team. The current technical rep said that they were not familiar with the red tint issues that has previously been reported and that they could not communicate with engineering. The rep will call me back tomorrow... But having two red tint camera issues in less than two months, plus others mentioned in other post seems to point to a problem. Has engineering addressed this problem? Please help. Thanks, BWS
