Noisy Cameras!

@OrganicJen​ Which camera is making that noise when you view your livestream: indoor or outdoor? We do have a known issue where either of the cameras can produce a buzzing sound when viewing a livestream or recording.

I have been dealing with this issue for over two years. My biggest issue is Simplisafe keeps sending me new cameras with the same problem. So frustrating.

There was a previous thread for this that has now disappeared from the forum but was archived on google. 

It was said that a “fix” was in the works but it’s been at least 2 years.

I have seven cameras at all make the weird noise. Like an engine running or something. SimpliSafe replaced all of my cameras with brand new ones last year. And the new ones do the same thing. Also, they almost never connect right away. All cameras always have trouble finding the Internet, I have to retry retry retry. Do you have that problem as well? There are other cameras that work much better.

@Bmakinano​ and @exhbrian are you both experiencing this sound with the SimpliCam indoor camera? There was a known issue where you would hear a sound when watching a livestream of the camera or its recordings, and our devs identified that the solution for this issue is to send out replacement cameras. I would recommend you both reach out to our Support team and they can send those replacement units your way.
