I installed my cam and it keeps disconnecting from my wi-fi.

I installed my cam and it keeps disconnecting from my wi-fi. the signal strength in the room is high as I have a booster in the same room. When checking the signal via Simplisafe it sometimes shows a good signal but often only one bar on the "return" signal. What can I do? I need this cam working so I can monitor my invalid wife in another room.

Sorry to hear that you've been having so much camera trouble. You mention a booster - is that a WiFi Extender?


I think what's happening is that you have the WiFi Extender broadcasting with the same network name. So when your cameras try to connect, they get confused between the WiFi Extender and your main WiFi Router.

So it might help to configure the WiFi Extender to broadcast under a different name (SSID), or at least with a separate guest network. And don't forget to lock it to 2.4GHz, which is what our cameras are compatible with.

@lgruber​ If you haven't tried this already, it can help to run the Connection Check tool in the SimpliSafe mobile app to get to the bottom of this. This tool will run a scan on the camera's connection to the Wi-Fi network, and will provide steps to improve the camera's connection based off the results. We list out the steps to use the Connection Check tool in this Help Center article.
