Camera Motion and Recording Intermittent

Have two cameras outside with the outdoor kit.  The motion and recordings are not consistent.  For example, wife just left today for appointment.  No recording or notification when leaving.  When returning, I received notification and video of her coming back in garage.  Same weather conditions the whole time (less than an hour between the two).

Also, last week I had a friend come pick up a package I left in the driveway.  No notification or video, but at least friend texted that they got it.

I don't understand the consistency issues and lack of reliability.  

Any settings I can help tweak to help.  Both are on high sensitivity as I would rather catch more than less, but still not catching all.

Concerned....
