Better outdoor camera ?

@tilebyrandy93 speaking as a cutomer of many years, don't expect for SS to comment in any manner on what is on their product R&D roadmap. Good, bad or different, they just don't. Moving onto your experience with the outdoor camera, my two outdoor cameras are well beyond a 15' range and, if not on people and I unblock the zones, it will pick up cars in the street approaching twice that distance. Ditto on the back camera if I am at the barbecue, camera is at the opposite end of the house and much mfore than 15' feet.  My main issue when I installed the two outdoor cameras (on AC) was the wake up to live streaming cycle time which, through several firmware upgrades and app versions has addressed to my satiscation. Suggest you call Support to troubleshoot, and if no improvement, ask to escalated to a product specialist via callback at a mutually convenient time.

This is the most truthful and accurate thing you will ever read on these forums. :) If you posted a question here asking if SimpliSafe was ever going to implement lethal countermeasures in their security system, provide free monitoring to everyone forever and refund us all the monitoring fees we've spent so far you would receive a response that went something like this:

We are unable to comment on future development plans regarding SimpliSafe hardware and services.

@tilebyrandy93 Our teams are always are working on improvements to our devices. The Outdoor Camera can see distances of up to 30 feet away. If you find that your camera's recordings and/or live streams have a poor video quality, I would recommend running the Connection Check tool in the SimpliSafe mobile app. This will diagnose the camera's connection and provide troubleshooting steps to improve it.
