When will the Alexa skill improve?

I’ve had the Alexa skill enabled for awhile now and it’s mostly worthless - just arms the system (which I can do from my phone or keypad) and gives a status update (which I can also check from my phone or keypad).  When will we be able to view cameras? When will we be able to hear door chimes?  It’s so frustrating that only 1 base station can be used and there’s no other way to have an additional speaker to hear chimes.
