When will SimpliSafe be available in Australia?

Why can the app not be downloaded on the AppStore? The fact you can order and get the system delivered to Australia yet cannot operate it here is a joke. Why not just make the app available for download in Australia, even if professional monitoring cannot be organised right now, at least make personal monitoring available. From what I have heard, many are getting frustrated by the fact they are receiving these systems only to find out it cannot work in Australia. You're missing out on sales and destroying your brand reputation here in Australia.

Hi all,

SimpliSafe offers a complete home security system; not just equipment like intruder sensors, fire alarms, cameras, and more; but also the Monitoring Service with cellular backup, 24/7 dispatch, and even live guard protection. All of that requires working closely with various agencies and local authorities to make sure that our services are able to meet strict standards. For that reason, we're currently focused only on our two markets: the US and the UK.

But if we ever make our way to international regions, we'll be sure to let you know!

And to answer @sethw specifically, apologies that we missed this question from a year ago. You mention that you were able to get a SimpliSafe system shipped to Australia. We don't offer shipping outside of our two markets, and our retail partners definitely shouldn't either. You might have bought your system from an unauthorized third party?

Unfortunately, we're just not able to offer our services outside of our two markets - the US and the UK. You could still use your system as an offline hardware-only system, but the app and related services aren't able to be set up.

Why are you not able to set up the App and related services? Is this to do with wireless frequency regulation?  It would be good to have an explanation for all so that customers don't waste their money by buying the product to find out that it doesn't work because your software update disables the products in countries with different communication frequency regulations. (Same with RING) If this was announced on your website you would also prevent third-party distributors from attempting to sell the product to places it shouldn't. (because customers won't buy it then).   Importantly announce on your site and prior to purchase that this product does not work in countries other than USA and United Kingdom, and say why.   Thanks for replying, however.
