Use SimpliSafe system to protect against EXcursions (not INcursions)

Home with dementia patient who is prone to wander. I want to receive more than a push text or email when an alarm is tripped. Can the app be made to trigger an alarm on my cell phone, like a clock alarm?

Hi @ERinSTL ,

Currently the use case you describe is not possible. You can possibly just disable the alarm siren on the system, so if there was a triggered alarm, you'll get a call, but no sound. But that setting goes for the whole system.

@davey_d Thanks for your reply. My post was more of a suggestion for future app development, not a "How can I ..." but getting a phone call instead of the base station siren gets me pretty close to what I want. How do I do that? I tried to figure it out in the app, but it wasn't clear.

I did not make it clear that I haven't subscribed to a monitoring plan, so that may change your recommendation.

I view it as an essential feature of the Android app that the system provide a cell  phone alarm whenever a sensor is tripped. A siren at the base station is not sufficient.

@ERinSTL ah, I understand. We do have a section on this Community for Product and Feature Requests.

But you're right, getting an actual phone call would require Monitoring Service (at least the $17.99 Standard Plan).

Without a subscription, the Push Notification would be the only option.
