Update on 2FA support?

I have seen quite a number of posts about the fact the SS does not yet support 2FA.  We need an update and a timeline for when this will be supported.  This is a BASIC requirement of any secure home.

SS should protect us against ANY type of intruder.  Edited to add: from what I understand Nest already offers 2FA.  Even with the more limited number of security devices, it's tempting to switch if it means I'm more secure.  I'm sure Google will add the missing devices if there is enough demand.

SS, you are going to lose customers if you don't start offering this soon.

@gcwebber since SS finally got rid of Flash on their website, possibly 2FA is not far behind?

I emailed tech support with this question a week ago and here's the response I got.  I feel like the tech didn't quite understand what I was getting at.  For now just update your password fairly often and don't reuse another sites pw I guess.

We appreciate feedback, we will take it under advisement. In the meantime we do offer a feature on the SimpliSafe app that would require you to have touch ID. Below I will list instructions to enable it.

Launch the SimpliSafe App


On the top left hand corner tap on the ‚ò∞ Menu


Tap the Drop down arrow next to your email


Tap Configure App Lock


Enter the desired Passcode and confirm


Now that the Passcode is created any time you launch into the app it will require the TouchID as long as it's enabled for the app. If not it will require the Pin before any changes can be made or app can be managed.
