SimpliSafe App on Amazon Fire Tablet

Has anyone had any success in getting the SimpliSafe app running on a Fire tablet? I don't see an official release in the Amazon App store but I tried sideloading and I get an error saying "there was a problem trying to parse the package" when I try to install.

I'm using SS with Alexa and I would like to have more control by using the app on the tablet.

Hi @waclark57,

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have an app available for Amazon Fire devices. We have forwarded your desire for an Amazon Fire app to our dev team. Meanwhile, we do have an app for both the App Store for iOS and the Play Store for Android devices.

FWIW, the android app works just fine on my Pixel 3a, and my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)

I've got it working on my Fire HD 10. Had to install playstore and then just install simplisafe

SO why is it next to impossible to log onto the dashboard? I'm an existing customer and I cannot log into my account or rather once Ii log in the screen changes to dashboard but the page is blank.  What's going on? This has happened multiple times on different dates.

If SimpliSafe ever creates an app for Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, I would like to have it automatically shows camera movements detected at front door. I can not use a doorbell camera because of a wattage problem(use regular camera), but loved this feature on my phone. So, I have this tablet I had bought for my 7-year-old special needs daughter's school work. She passed away 2 years ago and would like to make use of this device.

@cdepriest30 buying into the Amazon ecosystem comes at a price...Amazon provides great hardware with very good specs...but you can only put apps on fire tablets that come from their app store (okay, yes you can side load it but that's another story.)  For SS able to do that, they would have to pay a high price, apparently too high that their app is not on Fire tablets. For that matter, even on Android tablets, you are warned the SS app is not optimized for those devices. It still works fine.

Plus, Amazon keeps messing with the operating systems on the Fires;  Ours have been automatically updated to where they are essentially unusable to select books unless you have 20/40 vision (much smaller cover images)
