Separate logins, AGAIN.
DaveyD, can we pretty please get this fixed once and for all.
I don't know if it's my browser this time (Edge), or, if someone on the backend keeps changing things on your pages, but the hamburger menu I mentioned to you last week, is gone, can't get to account dashboard -
I'll ask for the umpteenth time, can we PLEASE have a link on the dashboard, AND the forum profile, that stays consistent with only ONE login required to access the dashboard and the forum? I'm really tired of having to verify/login twice every time, and today, it didn't even work, because maybe I'm having a crappy day or there really isn't a link where I can access my account dashboard.

I assure you that we haven't been making any changes at all. And we do actually use the same login application now across the Community, webapp, and store. The difference is in how the login application interacts with each separate site. That being said, once you're logged into one, you should stay logged in across all of them.
On the subject of having a link to your SimpliSafe account right here in the Community, our dev team says it's very possible, and we'll work on it. Right now, the Community site still behaves like a separate thing, but we're already working on even deeper integrations with our other services.

Not really sure what you mean, the webapp login is the same across pages of the SS site, I assume, but that login does NOT keep one logged in AND able to go back and forth between account and forum and stay logged in. It's been this way forever. (except one time, ONE, when I posted a month or so ago, I was logged into forum, went to one of SS's pages, dropped down a hamburger menu, hit "account", and didn't have to log in) - that hamburger menu doesn't exist anymore, and neither am I able to 'maintain' one login.
So, again, why why why, do I have to keep logging in twice, and verifying twice, from the forum to account, or vice versa? You do know, this drives me insane and makes me want to avoid the forums, again.
I'm not using Firefox anymore, just Edge, and I'm assuming SS has 'optimized' for Edge or Chrome browsers more than the others, so I don't get it.

Heard back from our dev team with more detail about how our login system works. If you could remind me, do you currently log in via the default 2-step verification (2SV)? That is, when you log in, an email would be sent with a button for confirming the login.
That would be in contrast to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via SMS text, where we send your phone a text message with a 6-digit confirmation code, that you have to type into the login window on our website.
Since 2SV is less complex in terms of how your device is verified, it may require confirmation more often to keep you logged in.

I'm using the 2SV (via email verification link) - I didn't even know the SMS MFA was an option, so how do I opt for that?
"may require confirmation more often to keep you logged in", is an understatement, lol, I've had to do this so many times it makes my head spin. So, are you saying that if I have SMS MFA, there will always be one login between the forum and account page?

FYI, I am 100% logged into the forums right now for sure but when I click on the 'Store' link and try to buy something it prompts me for all my info or says I can log in. I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 10 and no ad blocker, privacy badger, etc. enabled.
