How to use Android app to select Home/Away/Off
I want to use the system as "unmonitored" or "self-monitored".
I am a long time user of the original system, I just installed a new system using the Android app. I tried to select Home or Away (to arm the system) and could not find a way to do it in the Android app. I added the Home/Away/Off widget to my screen and it is greyed out and not able to arm the system.
How do I get the Android app to arm and disarm the system?
Your support page (https://support.simplisafe.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023809972-What-are-the-service-plan-options- ) says I should have that capability with an Unmonitored "plan".

Hi @jchapura ,
Yes, you are correct. During the activation process, you would just need to opt out of the Monitoring Plan offered, and you can continue into Basic App Control.

Just chatted with Support - "something" is too complex for them and they told me I had to call their Support line.

The $0 service plan for "unmonitored" is called Basic App Control. To select it, one must go through the activation process and choose the unmonitored plan option. No credit card was needed to be provided.
