Device settings "disappeared'

I had to reprogram and rename all my devices because they disappeared. Any way to save them?  Has this happened to you?

@danbreton there have been reports previouly of this happening and SS is aware of the problem. This has never happened to me and, unfortunately, can't tell you the causes as there is no search function in the forums and a Google Site search no longer works on Simplisafe's website (however, Johnny M said they are aware of the issue and will address it in the near future, which is in my book defined as two weeks. Next Wednesday will mark week 1).

Also a search in the new Help Center for "base lost settings" brought back zip. The answer to this issue is known by SS and should already be there.  The result will be an inbound call that could have been answered online in the forums or in the help center.

Okay, this is weird! So I typed a reply, and it returned a 403 ERROR. Suppose I leave out specific keywords, it posts. If I leave them in, it returns the error.

It has been an issue that I recall seeing here on the forums (it was a hot topic). However, without an internal or external search option presently (i.e., Google), the only way to find a solution is to wait for an answer or call SimpliSafe support. I usually bookmark interesting threads; I will look and reply with a link if I have one.

@ Shiherlis, how did you find it?

BTW, the 403 error happens sometimes with certain characters, or, the SS servier logs fill up and they have to clear them.

To SS: this thread exemplies the benefit of your forum: customers assisting customers (and less inbound calls to your overworked staff).

Hey, Captain. I consistently bookmark forum topics due to what you touched upon - the lack of a search function. Anything that I think I might encounter as a problem with my system in the future goes into a folder. I have been bookmarking forum topics for 5-6 years.

@Johnny M (and I am serious about this) please reach out to Shiherlis and get her library of bookmarks and do an audit in the help center. If something isn't there, add it asap!!!
