Can't access my User Control Panel

I can log into and post a message to this forum (obviously) but I can't log into and access my User Control Panel.
I'm using Firefox on a Windows 10 box.

What am I doing wrong?

@tccrab I just checked using Firefox browser on my Win10 computer and got into the forum and my dashboard fine, so both are up. Do you have a monitoring plan? If yes, then I suggest you call support to troubleshoot. Don't forget, 2FA is now operational at SS, so you used a program like ccleaner to clear out your cookies, you may have to reauthenticate.

Hi @tccrab,

Could we get some more information as to where you are running into an issue while logging in? While Captain11 is correct that you may need to call our Support Team to troubleshoot your issue further, we'll need some more information such as if you're getting any error messages while attempting to log in. If you do need to give us a call, we can be reached at 1-800-548-9508 from 8 AM to Midnight ET, 7 days a week.

Connection problem solved.
But new questions arise.
First, the communication issue was two fold, my base system needed a 4G upgrade, tech support sent a new board and it installed easily.
Tried logging in my profile on the website using Firefox (version 85.0 64bit) browser with no success.
Tried Internet Explorer (version 11), and was dismayed to see header on Simplisafe webpage announcing that IE was no long supported.
Login though Microsoft Edge and was able to login and access my system control panel..
Really???
Are your programmers getting lazy?
I use Firefox exclusively and I have no intention of changing browsers because your programmers want me to.
Please forward me a link so that I can lodge a formal complaint to management, this issue needs to be addressed and corrected.

Hi @tccrab,

Currently, there are no know issues affecting our customers' ability to use Firefox to log in to their SimpliSafe.com accounts. It's likely that there is an extension (adblocker, etc.) that is installed in Firefox that is inhibiting your ability to log in that is not installed in Microsoft Edge. An easy way to test this is to use a Private window. By default, Private windows in Firefox don't allow extensions to run, allowing us to try logging into SimpliSafe.com to see if it was an issue with an extension.

To open up a Private window in Firefox follow these steps:

  • Open Firefox
  • Click on the ‚ò∞ Menu button
  • Select New Private Window from the list
  • Attempt to login to SimpliSafe.com using the Private window

If you are continuing to have issues logging in through the Private window, make sure that no extensions are allowed to "Run in Private Windows". This setting can be found in the Extensions section of Firefox's Preferences.

I'm having a similar problem.  When I try to log into the web control panel, I see my control panel for 1 second and then it forwards me to a screen to 'activate a new system'.  I did recently buy a new system but I have not yet installed it and I do not want to activate it yet.  But it appears that I am locked out of my existing system until I activate the new system.

When my control panel flashes on the screen I can see that the "Activate a system' is highlighted in the lower left.  But I can't stop it from forwarding and once on the Activate system screen there is no way to escape and go back.

I wasted a long time chatting with someone that kept trying to steer me into using the phone app.  I went so far as to install another browser (Foxfire) and had the same problem

The problem is obviously on their end. This is very frustrating and disappointing that Simplisafe would chose to bar a customer from their system control.

Any help would be appreciated.
