No longer receiving “alarm canceled” SMS texts when using keypad to cancel an alarm

I no longer receive a text message when an alarm has been canceled (by keypad PIN, for example).  I receive the alarm triggered texts but not the alarm canceled texts. Is this normal?  Has SimpliSafe changed this behavior?

Hi @Boring_Joe, 

I flagged your case to our engineers and they were able to resolve this issue on their end - you should receive text messages when an alarm is canceled again. If you find that isn't the case, please let me know!

Is anyone else no longer receiving an “alarm canceled” SMS text message (not push notification) after disarming the system via keypad PIN during an alarm event (alarm triggered)?  I used to get these texts but no longer do. I’ve emailed with a SS rep for months with no resolution. This is a pretty important text for other household members, who can’t install the app for push notifications because the app doesn’t support multiple users, to receive to inform them that the alarm was canceled especially after false alarms.

I find it hard to believe that I’m the only one who’s experienced this issue. We used to receive an SMS text message to our phone numbers that stated “Alarm canceled: A recent alarm was canceled by Keypad Master PIN…” whenever we’d turn off the alarm after an alarm went off. Then, suddenly we stopped receiving only this message. 

The SimpliSafe engineer or technician that contacted me about this failed to resolve this after months of emails back and forth. He finally just stopped replying to me.

I really would like someone at SimpliSafe to acknowledge this issue and at least explain why we used to get these texts but no longer do.
