SimpliCam Wired Indoor Camera LED Status Light Colors

The camera LEDs are designed to help inform you of what your camera is doing. You can turn the LEDs off in your camera’s settings.
Note that the little red light beneath the LED is the infrared sensor, which is activated at night. The privacy shutter will still prevent the camera from recording if it’s closed, even if the infrared sensor is on.
The lights listed below are the only colors that the camera will display. If you are seeing a color that is not listed try changing the lighting in the room, as this can affect the look of the colored lights.
LED Behavior | What does it mean? |
Solid Yellow | Booting up or installing an update |
Blinking White | Ready for setup |
Solid White | Attempting to connect to Wi-Fi |
Blinking Yellow | Connected to the internet, but not connected to SimpliSafe’s servers (can occur after a reboot) |
Blinking Red | Unable to connect to Wi-Fi |
Solid Blue | Connected and shutter open, ready to record or stream |
Blinking Blue | Currently being viewed live, or a video recording is taking place |
Off (No Visible LED) | Privacy shutter is closed or the LED has been disabled in settings |
