Panic Button Settings & Customizations

Your Panic Button can be customized to be a silent or audible alarm, and additionally be configured to request dispatch of different emergency services, like Fire or Medical. 

The Panic Button settings will determine what happens when you press the Panic Button.

Audible

The default setting. Will trigger a Panic siren and a call from an operator. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the Monitoring Agent will request emergency dispatch.*

Fire

Will trigger a fire siren and a call from a Monitoring Agent. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the agent will request assistance from your local fire department.*

Medical

Will trigger a Medical Alert voice prompt and a call from a Monitoring Agent. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the operator will request EMS assistance at the location of your system.*

Silent

Will not trigger an audible siren or a call from our Monitoring Center. The agent will request assistance from emergency services immediately.*

*Dispatch services are available with an active Monitoring Plan.

Follow the instructions below to customize your Panic Button using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or the KeyPad.

SimpliSafe® Mobile App:

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® mobile app on your phone or tablet

  2. Choose My System from the bottom navigation bar

  3. Select Device Settings

  4. Tap on your Panic Button from the list of devices

  5. Click into Alarm

  6. Make your selection of alarm types from the list available

  7. Be sure to tap on Send to Base before exiting to save your settings

KeyPad:

  1. Select Menu

  2. Enter your Primary PIN

  3. Choose Devices

  4. Select your Panic Button from the list of devices

  5. Scroll for Panic Alarm

  6. Then make your selection for what type of alarm you wish for the Panic Button to trigger
