How do I update my payment method and account information?


You can easily update your payment method and account information by visiting the SimpliSafe Web app or the SimpliSafe Mobile App. Please note, your account email address must be updated on Web app using a web browser. 

When using the Web app:

  1. Login to your account on SimpliSafe.com (or click here)

  2. To update your account information:

    1. Click on your email address in the top right corner and then choose "View Account"

    2. To update your email address or username, simply click on those fields

    3. To update your password, click the "Change" button next to the right of that field

    4. After making any changes, click the "Save Changes" pop-up at the bottom of your screen

  3. To update your billing or monitoring address:

    1. Navigate to the Monitoring section on the left side of your screen

    2. To update your Billing Information, click the "edit" button beneath your credit card info in the blue bar at the top of the screen

      1. Choose "Add new Credit Card" to change your payment method, then enter your new card information

    3. To update your monitoring address, click the Monitored Address fields and update the information

    4. After making all of your changes, click the blue "Save" button at the bottom right of the screen

When using the SimpliSafe Mobile app:

  1. Login to your account on the SimpliSafe Mobile app

  2. Click the three-bar menu on the top left corner of the app

  3. To update your username or password:

    1. Click on "Manage Account"

    2. Click on the field you would like to change

    3. When you are done, choose "Save" at the top right corner of the app

  4. To update your billing information:

    1. Click on "Plan + Billing" for the property whose billing information you'd like to edit

    2. Click into the "Credit Card" field to edit your billing information

    3. Choose "Add New Credit Card" at the bottom of the screen to add a new payment method

    4. Click the blue "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen when you are done

  5. To update your monitoring address:

    1. Click on "Location Profile"

    2. Click on the address field to edit your address information

    3. Choose "Done" at the top right of the screen and then "Save"

Important Update

Please Note: We will no longer be able to accept and process pre-paid cards. If you are paying with a pre-paid card, please follow the instructions above to change your method of payment using your web browser, SimpliSafe mobile app, or by calling our support team at 1-800-301-3759.
