This article is about the All-New SimpliSafe system. If you purchased a system in 2017 or earlier, you have the Original SimpliSafe. If you're not certain which system you have, you can tell the difference here.
WiFi provides an optional second layer of security for your system, offering an additional connection to our monitoring center and a slightly faster refresh time for the mobile apps and webapp. It also provides access to firmware updates.
To connect your All New SimpliSafe to WiFi:
- Press the “menu” button on your Keypad and enter your Master PIN when prompted.
- Select “System Settings” and then “WiFi”. After a few moments, your Keypad will display a list of available networks.
- Scroll to the network you’d like to connect to and press the right rocker to select it.
- Enter your network password. The Base Station will attempt to connect to the network, and the Keypad will notify you of the result. If unsuccessful, you will be asked to verify your password by re-entering it.
