Smart Alarm Camera sends Push Notifications even when notification is disabled in-app

We are aware of an issue where some users have been receiving motion alerts from the Smart Alarm Indoor Camera, even when the notification option has been disabled in the SimpliSafe® app.

Our engineers have identified the cause of the issue and the fix will be included in the latest firmware update that is rolling out now. Please let us know here if you continue to experience this issue after your camera has updated to Firmware 1.20.

Title sums it up.   Only have the one, but no matter if home, away or off is selected it will always push a motion alert to our mobile devices.  Pretty annoying, and unable to fix.  Was supposed to get a call today from “next level help” but that didn’t happen.

Figured I’d reach out and see if anyone else is experiencing this and if you had found a solution.

@Hokey777 nope mines updated to that version and still broken. Make sure you didn't turn off any motion zones in the camera itself. I turned all of mine back on and sure enough it still have me a motion notification with motion notifications turned off 🙄😞.

So @davey_d I'm still waiting for that good news. Not holding my breath considering SimpliSafe's track record on actually fixing issues.

@kicktd I updated the app′s firmware via Google Playstore today and can confirm that the issue has been fixed. If you haven't already, please update the app to receive the bug fix. Good luck guys!

I am having the same issue plus the second phone cannot connect to the cameras while the master camera has no problem.  I leave town in 6 days and I need them to be able to see if the alarm is real or not.  Please help me

@Beardthies I see that you reached out to our Support team and they were able to help you turn off the camera's motion detection setting when the system is in Off Mode.

When you say that your second phone cannot connect to the cameras, is the phone unable to launch a live stream? If that is the case, we would want to make sure that that phone can access the internet.
