How does water sensor work with standard (non-interactive) monitoring

I was thinking of getting a Simplisafe water sensor (this is for a 3rd generation system) for an upstairs closet water tank and I currently have a standard $15/month non-interactive contract. What notification if any will I get if the water sensor goes off? Do I need to have the interactive $25/month contract to get a text or email? And if I don't get a notification by email or text, what happens, just a local alarm from the sensor itself?

I could not find this information online from the Simplisafe webpages or when trying to search the forums.

The base siren will go off with a different sound, and you will get a call to your contact phones.  I don't know if you get anything else, since I've always had the interactive plan.

Seven is correct. I have eight of the water sensors along with the interactive plan. If one of the sensors is triggered, the siren will sound different from that caused by an entry sensor. Dispatch will call to alert you. With the interactive plan, you will also receive a text message.

Thanks for this helpful information.

It's COPS monitoring who calls you, and no dispatch will be sent, it's a call only to alert you.  Call SS and ask if your plan includes the alerts (texts, etc) - I'm not sure if it does (the 24.99 interactive plan includes alerts), so call to be certain.
