Smoke alarm & carbon monoxide sensor not functioning

Even though I have replaced the batteries with new in both the keypad still reports that the batteries are depleted. Its there a life cycle on these sensors? Mine are about 5 years old.

@Kate.dos.carl the mfg warranty is 3 years, beyond calling SS to troubleshoot you may be SOL.

Ask for replacements.  They may say no, but then again they may say yes.
