Advice/Suggestion of Smoke Detector Placement?

I was hoping I could get some advise on placement for my smoke detectors. Obviously bedroom needs one and probably should put one in the office, but probably shouldn't put one outside bedroom due to the proximity of shower/laundry/kitchen. All the appliances are electric, no gas.

Here's my floorplan: https://ibb.co/9W8KjRY

Grey area is a reduced height ceiling
Blue dots are AC vents (located at top of walls)
Red dots are where I'd like to place detectors (although bedroom and office ones will have to be moved left due to the AC vents

Any thoughts? add/remove/move?

Thanks

Hi @fiwiciw259,

It looks like you have a pretty good sense of where those Smoke detectors should go already. Normally, placing Smoke detectors in each sleeping area as well as on each floor of the home will be sufficient, but we recommend also checking your local fire code as that may have some additional requirements.

It is important smoke detectors are not placed in dead air spaces. Google is your friend.
