Turning off alarm automatically unlocks door?
Hi, I have a problem where turning off my alarm remotely through the app automatically unlocks my door too. Is there a way to stop this? I frequently have to turn off the alarm in the morning to allow a service person to enter later in the day, but that person has a key and it sometimes I don't realize the door unlocked when the alarm was turned off (it doesn't happen every single time). Is there something I can do to prevent this from occurring? Thanks!

Yes! There are adjustable settings for the SimpliSafe Smart Lock that determine what the lock will do when the system is armed or disarmed. Because you mentioned that it doesn't happen every single time, it sounds like the OFF setting for your lock may be currently set to "unlock from home" or "unlock from away". What that setting means in the case of it being set to "unlock from home" is that whenever your system is armed in Home mode and then disarmed, the lock will unlock. If you would prefer it not behave this way, those settings can be adjusted as follows through your SimpliSafe.com account:
