Smartlock keypad in the weather

Does anyone have a suggestion about the keypad being exposed to the elements? Talked with support and they do not recommend that the keypad be exposed to snow, rain, etc. Two of the doors I want to put a smartlock on do not have overhead protection. TIA

Hi @wendellcrain,

The PIN Pad for the SimpliSafe Smart Lock is rated at IP54. This means that it will resist the splashing of rainfall. As long as the PIN Pads will not be in positions where there will be constant streams of water pouring over them, they should operate properly on the outside of your exterior doors.

That is great to hear. I am guessing we must have confused the customer service rep we talked to. I was surprised that it wasn't resistant. Thanks!
